Pieter and Michael are teaming up as Team Bike4Africa. Both are passionate amateur bike riders living in the Zurich area. Pieter approach Michael in summer 2024 if he is interesting in teaming up for the Cape Epic 2025. Long story short:

Michael Trepte
A German guy living in Switzerland since 2010. Grew up doing lot’s of sport – started with swimming in the age of 4 and ended up riding his bike a lot in the age of 40+. Besides cycling, he spends a lot of time outdoors with his family. In his professional life, he works in the IT team at Landis+Gyr.
Pieter-Jan Kindermans
A Belgium guy who loves riding bicycles. I guess be definition a Belgium person has to be a good cyclist. Off the bike he is a fancy Research Scientist working on AI projects. More on that pretty soon.
